This session will look at the challenges that aging can have on driver safety and how to help a loved one navigate the decision of maintaining driving independence.  National statistics, current research endeavors, and personal stories will help facilitate an interactive learning experience for participants.

Learning Objectives:

    1. Participants will understand the demographics and concerns regarding staying safe behind the wheel with aging.
    2. Participants will gain understanding of legal implications/concerns/responsibilities.
    3. Participants will understand what occurs in a comprehensive driver evaluation and models of service delivery.
    4. Participants will understand outcomes of a driver evaluation and the challenges the outcome may impose.
